The restaurant served generous portions of delicious home-cooked meals, with local vegetables that stood out. there were some issues with housekeeping leaving lights on, and the WiFi connection could be slow. the road noise was somewhat disruptive when trying to relax.

This hotel is a well-suited match for an overnight stop in Bishop Auckland and good value for the cost. The friendly staff were very accommodating, even when I arrived late. Make sure to check the room location to avoid noise from the kitchen extractor fan outside your window.
